Welcome to One Word, a word puzzle game developed by Clever Little Games. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.

One Word is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect, store, or process any personal information including:

• Names, email addresses, or contact information
• Location data or GPS coordinates
• Photos, camera, or microphone access
• Social media profiles or contacts
• Device identifiers for advertising purposes

2.2 Information We Do Collect

We collect minimal, non-personal information to provide and improve our service:

• Game Progress Data: Your game statistics, scores, and progress are stored locally on your device
• Leaderboard Data: If you choose to participate in the global leaderboard, your chosen username and total score are uploaded to our servers (hosted on Supabase) and displayed publicly to other players. Leaderboard participation is optional and requires your explicit consent within the app. No data beyond your username and score is collected for leaderboard purposes.
• Crash Reports: Anonymous crash data via Sentry to help us fix bugs and improve app stability
• Purchase Information: Transaction records for in-app purchases, processed securely through Apple's App Store

3. How We Use Information

The limited information we collect is used solely to:

• Provide game functionality and save your progress
• Display your username and score on the global leaderboard (with your consent)
• Process in-app purchases securely
• Identify and fix technical issues
• Improve app performance and user experience

4. Data Storage and Security

• Local Storage: Game data is stored locally on your device using secure iOS storage mechanisms
• Cloud Services: We use Supabase for storing leaderboard data (usernames and scores, with your consent) and Sentry for crash reporting
• No Data Sharing: We do not sell, rent, or share any user data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes
• Data Retention: Crash reports are automatically deleted after 90 days; leaderboard data (usernames and scores) is retained for as long as you participate in the leaderboard

5. In-App Purchases

One Word offers in-app purchases for game coins. All transactions are processed securely through Apple's App Store:

• We do not store credit card or payment information
• Purchase records are handled by Apple according to their privacy policy
• Purchases are tied to your Apple ID, not personal information we collect

6. Children's Privacy

One Word is suitable for all ages (4+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since we don't collect personal information from any users, this policy applies to all age groups.

7. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Sentry: For anonymous crash reporting and app stability monitoring. No personal information is included in crash reports.
• Supabase: For storing leaderboard data (usernames and scores) when you opt in to the global leaderboard. This data is publicly visible to other players.
• Apple App Store: For in-app purchase processing and transaction management.

8. Your Rights and Choices

• Leaderboard Consent: Leaderboard participation is entirely optional. You will be asked for your consent before any data is uploaded. You can opt in or out at any time via the app's Settings.
• Data Deletion: You can delete all local game data by uninstalling the app. To request removal of your leaderboard data from our servers, please contact us at privacy@cleverlittlegames.com.
• Opt-Out: Crash reporting cannot be disabled but contains no personal information

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

10. International Users

One Word is available worldwide. Since we don't collect personal information, international data transfer regulations don't apply to personal data. Anonymous crash reports and high scores may be processed in the United States where our service providers' servers are located.
